What is a Film Location Library?
Film Location Library, Film Location Agency, Film Location Company, Film Location Directory, Film Location Database, there are many names for the same thing! They are all Film Location Agencies. But what actually is a Film Location Library? Call us what you like – we’re the ones who have the extensive and highly searchable location libraries and do all the admin in order to successfully organise filming and photoshoots in different locations.
It’s worth thinking about your needs and who can best help you when you need to find film locations. You may be after a Location Scout who will personally find and photograph locations for your specific brief, a Location Manager who will take care of the Location on the shoot day, or a UK Location Agency who will help book a location for your shoot based on your brief, along with doing all the relevant paperwork, but won’t re-shoot it for you or be there on the shoot day.
Productions and Location Owners often choose to use location agencies due to the benefit of specifically tailored shoot contracts and the reassurance that all communications between both parties are professionally managed.
Which Agency Should I Speak to?
There are different Film Location Agencies in London and the UK, which you should speak to depending on your needs – if you’re looking at filming on the street or in public areas, you’re best speaking to the Local Film Council or Film Fixer, whereas if you’re hoping to film in a private venue or residential property, many of these are represented by Location Agencies like Amazing Space.
Why Amazing Space?
