A Medieval Manor House with period interior and extensive grounds.
This small stone manor house dates from around 1450, and features stone flagged floors, very large open fireplaces, and a double height Georgian Gothic library (former Roman Catholic chapel). There are large oak staircases, attic with oak trussed roof and period bedrooms.
The ruins of the Elizabethan mansion contain a white informal briar rose garden, best in June/July. In front of the ruins is a large formal lawn with raised banks and Yew Avenue leading off to a 7 acre steep sided valley with a stream running through, as well as dams and stone bridges.
