A seaside cottage with a cosy feel and modern, architectural features.
Past the walled garden with the round firepit, you enter the cottage through the floor-to-ceiling doors into a large, modern kitchen with a stainless-steel countertop that runs the full length of the room and a white enamel wood-burner that you can get going when the weather gets colder. The medieval table adds patina to the room while the tongue and groove walls balance and complete the look. On the same floor, are also the reading and living rooms, both organised in front of fireplaces with exposed brick that leave them a bit unfinished and wild, so site-specific to their context. Heading upstairs you’ll find a single room and the master bedroom with a cozy king-size bed and a vintage vanity table, as well as a bathroom with a large tub for bubble baths with a view of the ocean. Accessed via a ladder stair, the attic bedroom never fails to impress as it nests comfortably under the eaves of the top floor overlooking the waves crashing on the shore.
