Located in a former bank, this venue is an integral part of Cadogan’s Gaumount project. Housed in an impressive Grade II listed Georgian building, it stands on a prime spot on the King’s Road, directly opposite Chelsea Town Hall. A pair of floor-to-ceiling arched windows frame the front of the building, giving it an unmissable street presence and offering an inviting glimpse into the pub and dining room beyond. Guests enter through a lobby—marked by a small Trafalgar Square lion—into the Old Banking Hall, where five-metre-high aged-bronze ceilings, four mighty Flemish chandeliers, and bespoke Adam Ellis wallpaper set within original festoon plasterwork create a striking first impression. Vintage art, original paperwork and oversized lamps combine to give the space an elegant, timeless feel. An impressive bar anchors the rear of the Old Banking Hall. Its dark oak front and high-polished ebony top are complemented by an elegant arched back bar with green tiling and soft backlighting. Burnt-orange bar stools and Holophane brass pendant lights complete the setting, making it an inviting spot to linger over classic British bar food playfully presented on beer mats. The Old Banking Hall embraces traditional pub design elements—oxblood leather banquettes, private booths, bronze poseur tables, solid oak barrels, and Anna Hayman–upholstered mini tub chairs—creating a variety of characterful spaces while maintaining a cohesive and distinctive aesthetic. Accessible via two glazed and panelled archways, the adjoining Dining Room offers seating for up to 45 guests and strikes a perfect balance between grandeur and warmth. Colour-drenched burgundy walls, a curated mix of old and new artwork, bespoke tapestries, wall-mounted velvet-tasselled lighting, empire chandeliers, dark wooden tables and tan leather banquette seating all contribute to its intimate, welcoming atmosphere.
