The Rustic Charm of Barn Conversions
Located in rural settings and surrounded by picturesque country views, barn conversions make brilliant filming and photography locations. Traditional exteriors are often combined with plush furnishings and modern touches to create a unique blend of classic and contemporary, and features such as exposed beams, brickwork and vaulted ceilings give them a cosy, rustic feel. Here's a few of our favourite barn conversion locations from across the UK.
RUR-9175 is a classic example of a fairytale property. With comfy leather armchairs, beams strung with fairylights and lots of exposed brickwork, this Berkshire property also features 24 acres of fields and an impressive barn space for events and gatherings. There is even a vegetable garden, manicured formal gardens and an enchanting lake, everything you could want in a country escape.
RES-11472 leans a little more towards modern design elements, particularly with the interiors. It's a beautifully renovated farmhouse that incorporates country living with the conveniences of modern life, with meadows and ponds alongside tennis courts and games rooms. The huge windows at the front of the property help to bring the stunning surroundings into the cosy living area, complete with wood burning stove.
Another property with a seamless blend of modern and rustic features is RES-11657. Once an open cattle byre, this home features exposed brick and flint walls and a beautiful thatched roof, with a stunning glass walkway connecting the two halves of the house.
If you're looking for something truly unique for your shoot, look no further than RES-11988. This barn-style modern build has taken rustic decor into the 21st century with a beautiful range of colours and textures that embrace modern features whilst retaining that farmhouse charm.
