Film Shoots Gone By!
Amazing Space has had the pleasure on working on some brilliant projects over the last fews years, including feature films, music videos, TV shows and editorials, to name but a few. We thought we'd delve into the archives and reminisce on some of our favourite shoots including a famous face or two.
Perhaps the most iconic famous face we've worked with is Michael Caine! Amazing Space had the pleasure of sourcing locations for the 2023 film, 'The Great Escaper', starring the legendary actor. The Great Escaper (2023) tells the heartwarming and adventurous true story of Bernard "Bernie" Jordan, a feisty WWII veteran in his 90s who refuses to let age stand in the way of a big dream. Determined to honor his fallen comrades, Bernie makes an unannounced escape from his British nursing home to attend the 70th D-Day anniversary celebrations in Normandy, France.
Another favourite of ours was hosting the photoshoot to go alongside Document Journal's interview with Saoirse Ronan at RES-8099. Saoirse Ronan has this magical ability to slip into any role and make it unforgettable, which is why she's quickly become a household name on the big screen. With that quick wit, she can be as serious as she is funny, making us believe she's just as at home in a 19th-century dress as she is in modern-day dramas. Whether she's playing a fiercely independent Jo March in Little Women, a rebellious teen in Lady Bird, or a vengeful assassin in Hanna, she has this incredible ability to make her characters feel as complex and real as your own friends.
Back in 2021, Amazing Space hosted The Guardian in conversation with Will Poulter at COM-8000. A talented British actor known for his versatility and compelling performances across various film genres, Will Poulter's career took off with standout performances in The Maze Runner series and The Revenant (2015), where he starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Poulter's ability to portray complex characters was further showcased in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair and in the dark comedy dilm We're the Millers (2013). Recently, he garnered significant acclaim for his portrayal of the villain in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023). With a distinctive combination of charm and intensity, Poulter continues to establish himself as one of Hollywood's most promising young actors.
Also in 2021, RES-9821 was chosen to host an interview with Time Magazine for the one and only, Kate Winslet. We thought this gorgeous cottage was the perfect shoot location for this classic English rose. In her interview, Kate Winslet reflected on her multifaceted career and the evolving landscape of Hollywood, particularly regarding the portrayal of women in film and television. She discussed the challenges and triumphs of her journey, emphasizing the importance of authenticity in her roles. Kate Winslet's career spans over three decades and showcases her remarkable range as an actress. She gained widespread acclaim with her breakout role in "Titanic," which catapulted her to global stardom. Winslet has since delivered standout performances in films like "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "The Reader," and "Steve Jobs," earning numerous awards, including an Academy Award and several BAFTAs.
In the world of televeision, Amazing Space has helped to source countless locations for a wide variety of TV dramas. One of the most noteable had to be phenomena that is Bridgerton! The Netflix period drama produced by Shondaland, has achieved remarkable success since its debut in December 2020. Adapted from Julia Quinn’s book series, the show captivated audiences with its lavish production, diverse casting, and engaging storytelling. It quickly became a cultural phenomenon, topping Netflix’s viewership charts and amassing over 82 million households watching in its first month. The series is praised for its bold representation and modern sensibilities, combining Regency-era romance with contemporary themes.
Amazing Space Locations has also had the pleasure of working on some iconic TV shows including Luther, Silent Witness, Gangs of London, Killing Eve and Top Boy to name but a few.
